Key Responsibilities
Nursing Services Management:
Plan, direct, and evaluate all nursing activities to meet hospital goals and maintain standards of care.
Staff Management:
Supervise and administer nursing personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and promoting staff development and welfare.
Patient Care Oversight:
Ensure patients receive high-quality, safe, and effective care by setting standards, monitoring outcomes, and resolving issues.
Administrative Tasks:
Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources, maintain records, and coordinate with other departments like housekeeping to streamline hospital operations.
Policy & Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality management programs to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and best practices.
Liaison & Coordination:
Serve as a liaison between the nursing department and hospital administration, as well as with other organizations and vendors.
Essential Skills
Leadership: Ability to provide strong leadership and guidance to the nursing team.
Management: Skills in staff management, resource allocation, and budgeting for the department.
Clinical Expertise: A deep understanding of patient care needs and nursing best practices.
