Job Title: Japa (Postnatal Caretaker)

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Japa (Postnatal Caretaker) to support a new mother and newborn during the postnatal recovery period. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in traditional Indian (especially North Indian or Jain/Sattvic) postpartum practices, baby care, and mother’s recovery routines.
Provide full-time care to the newborn, including bathing, changing, soothing, and putting the baby to sleep.
Prepare and feed the mother nutritious, healing postnatal meals and herbal drinks as per dietary needs.
Support the mother with breastfeeding, hygiene, and emotional wellbeing.
Perform traditional postnatal massages for the mother and baby (if required).
Maintain cleanliness of the baby’s and mother’s room, clothes, and essentials.
Monitor signs of illness or discomfort in both mother and baby and report to the family immediately.
Follow traditional hygiene and care protocols with discipline and warmth.
Prior experience as a Japa/Nanny/Postnatal caretaker (minimum 3 years preferred)
Knowledge of Indian traditional postpartum practices (Ayurvedic or Jain diet knowledge a plus)
Good hygiene habits and cleanliness
Calm, patient, and trustworthy personality
Ability to stay with the family for 6 months (or longer, as needed)
References from previous employers (required)
Comfortable stay and meals will be provided if live-in.
Travel arrangements and appropriate breaks will be managed.
