Job Description:
Responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on EV chassis frames, brackets, and custom components. The welder must ensure strong, clean welds that meet safety and structural standards while working from drawings or verbal instructions in a fabrication-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG on steel and other materials as required.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Ensure proper joint preparation, alignment, and weld penetration.
Conduct post-weld inspections to identify defects such as cracks or porosity.
Operate welding machines and maintain tools in good working condition.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including PPE and ventilation.
Collaborate with fitters and assembly technicians for part integration.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
Ability to read welding blueprints and follow fabrication instructions.
Good understanding of metallurgy and material behaviour during welding.
Strong attention to weld quality and safety.
Experience using grinders, cutters, and measuring tools.
Knowledge of Jigs and fixtures.
Education & Experience:
ITI, Diploma, or Certified Welding Course (Govt/Private Institute).
1–5 years of fabrication welding experience (preferably in automotive, EV, or fabrication shops).
