Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VMC Operator to operate and maintain Vertical Machining Centers for precision manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC machines, an understanding of technical drawings, and the ability to perform quality checks to ensure parts meet required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate VMC machines to perform milling, drilling, and cutting operations.

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.

• Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings.

• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality.

• Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of machines and work area.

• Record production data and maintain job documentation.

• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of VMC equipment.

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field (preferred).

• 1–3 years of experience operating CNC/VMC machines.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

• Familiarity with G-code/M-code and CNC programming basics.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good understanding of safety practices in a machining environment.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Haas controls.

• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters.

• Problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently or in a team.
