Job Description:
We are looking for a competent and experienced Tool Room Incharge to lead and oversee our tool manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day tool room activities related to the design, manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of injection moulding tools used in the automotive and home appliance industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all tool room operations including CNC, VMC, EDM, grinding, fitting, and assembly
Plan daily production schedules and allocate manpower efficiently
Review tool designs and provide manufacturing feedback to design and CAM teams
Monitor progress of tool manufacturing and ensure timely delivery
Maintain quality standards and minimize tool rework or rejections
Manage preventive maintenance and upkeep of all tool room machinery
Maintain documentation for tools, drawings, revisions, and maintenance
Train and mentor junior machinists, operators, and apprentices
Ensure safety, discipline, and productivity on the shop floor
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Tool & Die Making or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in injection mould tool manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC/EDM operations, mould assembly, and precision machining
Ability to read and interpret tool designs, drawings, and CAD models
Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills
Preferred:
Hands-on experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, PowerMill)
Exposure to ISO/quality standards and documentation
