Job Responsibilities
· Overseeing the daily operations of the store or warehouse.
· Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements.
· Implementing and managing inventory control systems (including potentially ERP systems like SAP) for items ranging from drilling equipment and spare parts to consumables, office stationery, and safety gear.
· Monitoring stock levels and initiating procurement processes for replenishment.
· Ensuring proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
· Conducting periodic physical stock verification and reconciling discrepancies with system records.
· Managing non-moving or surplus inventory and coordinating disposal procedures.
· Coordinating with suppliers, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and distribution of materials.
· Preparing documentation for material receipts, issues, and transfers (e.g., GRN, challans, delivery notes, stock transfer notes).
· Overseeing the physical loading and unloading of materials, potentially using equipment like forklifts.
· Managing the storage of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
· Liaising with logistics providers for efficient transportation, particularly for specialized equipment or materials.
