JOB OBJECTIVE:

We are looking for an individual to join the Stores department at Jasmino who will be responsible  for the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes for static equipment. He will be responsible for the efficient handling, accurate storage, and timely distribution of all materials  required for production. This role ensures that the right materials are available at the right place  and time, directly supporting our production targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Inventory Management: 

a. Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of all inventory, including raw materials, components, and finished goods. 

b. Regularly monitor stock levels to ensure optimal availability. 

2. Receiving and Inspection: 

a. Receive and unload incoming shipments of raw materials. 

b. Conduct thorough quality inspections against specificationsto verify compliance. Accurately record all incoming materials in the Incoming Register. 

3. Storage and Organization: 

a. Allocate appropriate and organized storage locations for diverse materials based on their characteristics and usage. 

Optimize warehouse space utilization for efficient material flow and accessibility. 

4. Issue materials to production departments according to production schedules and authorized requisitions. 

5. Ensure accurate documentation of all material issuance in the Outgoing Register and relevant systems. 

6. Prepare and coordinate necessary Challans (delivery documents) for outgoing materials. 

7. Stock Rotation (FIFO): Implement and adhere to a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system to manage stock rotation, minimizing obsolescence and ensuring the use of older materials first.
8. Coordination with Production: 

a. Collaborate closely with the production team to understand their material needs and anticipate future requirements. 

Proactively ensure the timely availability of materials to meet production deadlines. 

9. Ordering and Replenishment: 

a. Continuously monitor stock levels and trigger timely requests for material replenishment. b. Work effectively with the Purchasing department to maintain adequate inventory levels and avoid stockouts or excess inventory. 

10. Safety and Compliance 

a. Strictly adhere to all safety protocols for handling, storing, and moving materials within the stores area. 

b. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements related to material storage and handling. 

11. Documentation and Reporting: 

a. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns. 

b. Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies. 

12. Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose opportunities for improving material handling, storage efficiency, and overall stores processes.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

1. Education: Graduate degree (any stream). 

2. Experience: Previous experience in a stores, warehousing, or inventory management role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 

3.Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Basic understanding of the production process and the materials flow within a manufacturing setting. 

4. Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to organize and manage inventory efficiently and systematically. 

5. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in checking material details and recording information. 

6. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various departments. 

7. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve material-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. 

8. Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency in using inventory management software and fundamental computer applications (e.g., MS Excel).
