A Service Engineer (EV Battery) specializes in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing EV battery systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing routine servicing, ensuring reliability, and staying updated with battery technology. They also handle software updates, recalibrations, and safety protocols related to high-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis and Repair:
Identifying and resolving problems with EV battery systems, including individual cells, modules, and components.
On-site Servicing:
Conducting inspections and maintenance of high-voltage battery systems in various locations.
BMS Management:
Performing software updates and recalibrations on Battery Management Systems (BMS).
Routine Maintenance:
Performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient EV operation.
Preventative Maintenance:
Implementing preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Technical Support:
Providing technical support and training to other team members and end-users.
Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to safety standards and best practices when handling high-voltage systems.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Collaboration:
Working with engineering teams to develop and improve maintenance strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of EV battery technology, including lithium-ion batteries.
Diagnostic Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
