Job Title: Quality Assurance Executive
Department: Food Production/ Hospitality
Location: Mai Mai East Asian Restaurant, Indiranagar, Bangalore
Job Purpose:
To ensure that all food and beverage products and service standards in the restaurant consistently meet company quality, hygiene, and safety standards through regular audits, staff training, and process control.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control & Assurance
Conduct routine checks on food preparation, presentation, taste, and portion size.
Monitor raw material quality, supplier standards, and storage conditions.
Maintain standard recipes and ensure adherence to SOPs in all kitchen sections.
Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
2. Hygiene & Safety Compliance
Ensure compliance with FSSAI and local food safety regulations.
Conduct hygiene audits in kitchen, storage, and service areas.
Supervise pest control and cleanliness schedules.
Ensure staff maintain personal hygiene and follow food handling protocols.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain quality checklists, audit reports, and corrective action logs.
Monitor temperature logs, calibration records, and cleaning schedules.
Prepare and share monthly QA reports with management.
4. Training & Development
Train kitchen and service staff on hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
Conduct refresher sessions on HACCP, FIFO, and personal hygiene.
Guide new employees in following quality systems.
5. Continuous Improvement
Analyze customer feedback and implement quality improvement plans.
Support menu development by evaluating taste, presentation, and consistency.
Collaborate with chefs and operations teams for process optimization.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of FSSAI norms, HACCP, and ISO food safety systems.
Excellent observation and analytical skills.
Good communication and training ability.
Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Hands-on experience in restaurant or QSR operations preferred.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor in Hotel Management / Food Technology / Microbiology or related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in QA / Food Safety (preferably in restaurants, hotels, or catering).
FSSAI certification or HACCP training preferred.
