The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing and procuring mechanical equipment, materials, and services required for construction projects. The role includes vendor development, negotiation, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating with project and engineering teams to ensure timely material delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and source mechanical items such as HVAC systems, fire-fighting equipment, plumbing materials, pumps, compressors, ducting, pipes, valves, and fittings.

• Raise purchase orders (PO) and follow up on deliveries to meet project timelines.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Negotiate price, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement.

• Coordinate with the project, planning, and stores departments for procurement planning.

• Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor databases.

• Ensure all procured items comply with required quality standards and specifications.

• Track market trends and identify alternative suppliers to reduce costs and mitigate risks.

• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as required.

• Resolve any supply-related issues or delays with vendors.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting procurement costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 1.5–5 years of experience in procurement or purchase in a construction or mechanical contracting company.

• Knowledge of construction-related mechanical systems and materials.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and purchase modules.

• Understanding of local and international procurement processes.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects.

• Familiarity with vendor registration, tendering, and comparative analysis.
