Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Supervisor / Executive with a mechanical engineering background to oversee day-to-day production activities in our furniture manufacturing unit. The role involves supervising production lines, managing resources, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely delivery in coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the shop floor.

• Monitor manpower allocation, material flow, and machine operations for optimum efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.

• Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production process.

• Interpret and execute production drawings and cutting lists.

• Coordinate with the design, planning, and purchase departments for smooth workflow.

• Maintain production records, shift reports, and documentation for audits.

• Identify areas for process improvements and cost reduction.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Train and guide junior staff and operators as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Mech.)/Diploma

• 2+ years of experience in furniture manufacturing or similar wood-based industries.

• Working knowledge of production planning, raw material usage, and fabrication techniques.

• Hands-on experience in reading technical drawings, CNC/beamsaw operations, and assembly processes.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and 5S will be an advantage.

• Proficiency in MS Office and production-related software/tools (AutoCAD basics preferred).
