Job Summary:

Y Axis Structural Steels Pvt Ltd is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Production Manager with 3–5 years of experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production operations, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery from our plant in Loni Deokar, Indapur, Pune.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and monitor daily production schedules to meet project timelines

• Supervise fabrication processes like cutting, welding, fitting, assembly, and painting

• Ensure product quality and compliance with fabrication drawings and standards

• Lead and manage shop floor teams including supervisors, welders, and helpers

• Coordinate with planning, design, and quality departments for seamless workflow

• Monitor raw material usage and minimize waste

• Maintain shift production records, daily reports, and other documentation

• Ensure proper machine maintenance and minimal downtime

• Follow and enforce safety protocols and 5S practices on the shop floor

• Support continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

• 3–5 years of experience in structural steel fabrication / heavy fabrication industry

• Good understanding of fabrication drawings, welding techniques (SMAW, MIG), and shop floor equipment

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management abilities

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in manufacturing structural steel components like beams, columns, trusses, etc.

• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AWS, or ASME

• Exposure to crane operations, CNC machines, or fabrication automation is a plus
