Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication activities including cutting, welding, assembly, and finishing operations.
Interpret and analyze technical drawings, fabrication blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
Monitor and control production workflow to meet deadlines and production targets.
Collaborate with design, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure seamless operations.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards (ISO, OSHA, etc.).
Monitor equipment performance and assist in scheduling maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation.
Train, mentor, and supervise shop floor staff and technicians.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in fabrication production, manufacturing, or a related engineering role.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, bending, and assembly.
Familiarity with CNC machines, shop floor tools, and manufacturing equipment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred).
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and team management abilities.
Knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures.
Preferred
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Certifications in welding, safety, or production management.
Hands-on experience in implementing 5S or Kaizen initiatives.
