Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Control:
Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
Coordinate with planning, purchase, and sales teams to align production with business requirements.
Monitor daily production activities and ensure targets are achieved.
Resource Management:
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Oversee maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime.
Plan and manage workforce shifts for uninterrupted production.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality control standards in production.
Work with the QA/QC team to address non-conformance and customer complaints.
Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvements and cost optimization.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and other efficiency-boosting methodologies.
Lead Kaizen and 5S initiatives on the shop floor.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor production supervisors, line leaders, and operators.
Conduct training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain production reports, downtime logs, and performance metrics.
Prepare monthly production performance reports for management review.
Ensure ERP data is updated in real-time.
Key Requirements:
Education: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Proficient in production planning tools and ERP systems.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and drive process improvements.
