About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Factory Manager to oversee daily operations at our modular furniture manufacturing facility in Valsad, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modular production, team management, process improvement, and factory compliance, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end manufacturing functions.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all factory activities to ensure efficient production workflows.

• Manage modular furniture manufacturing processes including cutting, edge banding, drilling, pressing, assembly, and packaging.

• Lead a team of supervisors, machine operators, and workers ensuring discipline, productivity, and skill development.

• Monitor production schedules, quality standards, and on-time delivery targets.

• Implement and maintain SOPs, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices for optimal efficiency.

• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for production planning and inventory control.

• Ensure the proper maintenance of machinery and factory infrastructure.

• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with health, labor, and environmental regulations.

• Track key KPIs and generate regular operational reports for management review.

• Evaluate performance of personnel and identify training needs for skill development.

• Manage vendor interactions and local liaisons as required for smooth operations.

Candidate requirements:

·         Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field preferred.

·         Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in modular furniture or panel-based manufacturing setup.

·         Strong knowledge of modular factory processes, machines, and material flow systems.

·         Hands-on experience in production planning, inventory control, and quality assurance.

·         Leadership and team management skills with ability to handle factory staff.

·         Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

·         Knowledge of local language (Gujarati) will be an added advantage
