Primary Duties:
Set up and operate manual power press machines for production tasks.
Select and install appropriate dies, tools, punches, and jigs into the press.
Position, align, and secure raw materials (metal sheets, components) onto the press bed using fixtures or clamps.
Manually operate the press lever or wheel to perform the required operation on the workpiece.
Perform routine quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet dimensional and tolerance specifications.
Identify and report any visual defects like scratches, burrs, or deformities.
De-burr or finish parts as necessary to meet quality standards.
Safety & Maintenance:
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures without exception.
Perform daily safety checks and basic preventive maintenance on the press (e.g., cleaning, lubricating moving parts, inspecting for wear and damage).
Immediately report any machine malfunctions, safety hazards, or tooling issues to the supervisor.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S principles).
