Job Description

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising floor activities, operating machinery, ensuring smooth workflow, preparing basic production reports, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Supervise day-to-day operations on the production floor.

• Manage and guide workers/operators to ensure production targets are met.

• Operate factory machinery and assist in machine maintenance checks.

• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

• Maintain proper records of production data, material usage, and machine logs.

• Coordinate with the production manager regarding workflow planning and job allocations.

• Identify and report any operational issues or machinery faults.

• Ensure housekeeping and 5S practices on the shop floor.

• Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of workers.

• Assist in inventory checks and stock management of raw materials.

• Prepare and submit daily production reports to management.

Key Skills & Competencies Required : 

• Minimum Qualification: 12th Pass (Science background preferred).

• Basic understanding of factory operations and machinery.

• Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Hands-on experience in operating production equipment (preferred but not mandatory).

• Ability to prepare simple reports (daily production, material usage, etc.).

• Good leadership and team supervision skills.

• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word) would be an added advantage.

• Awareness of safety and quality control procedures.

• Physically fit and willing to work in shift timings.
