ob Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser / Large Format Printing Machine Operator to operate and maintain high-performance laser and wide-format printing machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing materials, managing print jobs, performing regular machine maintenance, and ensuring print quality meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate laser engraving and large-format printing machines (e.g., UV, solvent, eco-solvent, or latex printers).
Set up printing files, materials, and machine parameters for each job.
Monitor printing process to ensure color accuracy, alignment, and resolution.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on printing equipment.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure artwork is print-ready and accurately aligned.
Handle various substrates such as vinyl, fabric, acrylic, foam board, and more.
Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and completeness.
Maintain inventory of printing supplies and report low stock levels.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma preferred).
Prior experience with laser machines and/or large-format printing equipment is required.
Familiarity with RIP software (e.g., ONYX, Caldera) and design file formats (PDF, AI, CDR).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Ability to lift and move printing materials and products.
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work shifts and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or Photoshop is a plus
Experience with engraving machines or CNC routers is a plus
Ability to handle urgent and bulk orders efficiently
Understanding of color management and calibration
