Job Title: Lab Assistant – Transformer Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Assistant to join our team in a transformer manufacturing facility. The Lab Assistant will support engineers and technicians in performing material testing, sample preparation, and routine laboratory procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing routine physical, chemical, and electrical tests on raw materials, insulation materials, transformer oil, and finished products.

• Prepare and label test samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Maintain accurate records of test data, results, and observations in lab logs or digital systems.

• Support the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure operational accuracy.

• Follow established safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory.

• Handle inventory and replenishment of lab supplies and chemicals.

• Collaborate with the Quality and R&D teams in conducting research and development trials.

• Comply with ISO/IEC standards, internal quality systems, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 0–2 years of experience in an industrial or quality control laboratory (preferably in electrical equipment or transformer industry).

• Familiarity with transformer testing, insulation materials, or electrical measurement tools is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• May involve lifting light to moderate lab equipment or materials.

• Requires standing for extended periods during testing procedures.
