Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Gundrill Operator to join our mould manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for operating gundrill machines to drill deep and precise holes in mould bases, dies, and other components as per engineering drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Gundrill machines for deep hole drilling operations.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, mould designs, and work instructions.

• Set up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for drilling operations.

• Monitor machine performance and ensure accuracy of drilled holes.

• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance of the gundrill machine.

• Maintain quality standards and follow safety procedures in the workshop.

• Coordinate with production and quality teams for smooth workflow.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die Making, B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production,B.Sc. (Industrial / Mechanical stream) or relevant field.

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as Gundrill Operator in mould/tool room industry.(fresher’s may also apply)

• Knowledge of machine setup, cutting tools, feeds & speeds for deep hole drilling machine.

• Ability to use measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore gauge, Dial indicator).

• Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.

Additional Requirements

• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.

• Willing to work in shifts if required.

• Team player with good communication skills.
