Job Location :- Pune (Chikhali)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret Technical Drawings
Read and understand mechanical drawings, P&ID, schematics, and layout plans.
2 Component Assembly
Fit and assemble structural frameworks, machinery parts, piping systems, or equipment based on specifications.
3. Machining & Adjustment
Use hand tools or machine tools (e.g., drills, grinders, taps) to shape, trim, and adjust parts to ensure proper fit.
4. Installation of Equipment
Install pumps, motors, conveyors, piping systems, valves, and other mechanical equipment in workshops or on-site.
5 Alignment & Leveling
Align and level machinery using precision instruments such as dial gauges, laser alignment tools, or spirit levels.
6. Testing & Commissioning
Conduct pressure tests, leak tests, and functional tests on mechanical assemblies to verify performance.
7 Maintenance & Repair
Dismantle and repair faulty or worn-out parts, including replacement of gaskets, seals, bearings, etc.
8. Tool & Equipment Handling
Safely use and maintain tools such as torque wrenches, pipe benders, cutters, and lifting devices.
9. Housekeeping & Safety Compliance
Maintain clean work areas and follow company SOPs, safety rules, and proper PPE usage at all times.
10. Reporting & Documentation
Complete work orders, inspection checklists, and report job status or problems to supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
• Minimum: SPM or equivalent
• Preferred: SKM Level 2 or 3 (Fitting / Mechanical Maintenance)
• TVET, ILP, or Polytechnic graduates are encouraged
Certifications (optional but advantageous):
• CIDB Green Card (for site work)
• Safety Passport (e.g., NIOSH, Oil & Gas Safety Passport)
• Rigging & Slinging (for equipment handling)
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and assembly methods
• Skilled in using workshop tools and machinery
• Ability to understand engineering drawings
• Experience in fitting, alignment, and fabrication work
Soft Skills:
• Attention to detail and precision
• Teamwork and communication
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Problem-solving during assembly or installation tasks
Working Conditions
• Work may be indoors (workshop/factory) or outdoors (construction/plant site)
• Exposure to noise, heat, dust, or confined spaces
• May involve physical labor, climbing, and handling heavy components
• Possible shift work, overtime, or weekend hours
