   • Hand over tools, inserts, or measuring instruments as per operator’s need.

   • Assist in minor tool changing (under supervision).

4. Job Setup Support:

   • Support operator during job setup and clamping/unclamping.

   • Hold components and fixtures while the operator aligns or sets the job.

   • Apply coolant/oil as required during setup.

5. Inspection & Measurements:

   • Assist in basic measurements like using vernier calipers or scales.

   • Report any visual defects, burrs, or damage to components.

   • Help in separating OK and Not-OK components as directed.

6. Documentation Assistance:

   • Help in filling basic records like job completion quantity, rejection count, etc.

   • Tag and label finished components if instructed.

7. Safety & Discipline:

   • Always wear proper PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, goggles).

   • Follow safety instructions given by the operator or supervisor.

   • Do not operate machines independently unless trained and approved.

8. Support to Operator:

   • Be available to help the machine operator throughout the shift.

   • Assist in continuous running of the machine by quick support.

   • Ensure the operator does not waste time in small tasks.
