Key Responsibilities:

Immigration Law:

• Advise clients on a wide range of UK immigration matters, including Spouse/Partner visas, Skilled Worker visas, Student visas, Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), and British Citizenship applications.

• Prepare, review, and submit complex immigration applications and appeals to the Home Office and Immigration Tribunals.

• Represent clients in immigration hearings and liaise with relevant government bodies.

• Stay current with frequent changes in immigration rules and policy guidance.

Property Law (Real Estate):

• Handle residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.

• Conduct commercial property work, such as leases, acquisitions, and disposals.

• Manage property-related disputes that may arise, linking this work directly to the litigation practice (e.g., boundary disputes, breach of covenant).

• Conduct due diligence, handle land registry applications, and manage client funds in accordance with SRA accounts rules.

Litigation:

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters, which may include landlord & tenant disputes, contract disputes, debt recovery, and property litigation.

• Draft pleadings, claims, defenses, applications, and witness statements.

• Conduct legal research, advise clients on litigation risks and strategies, and manage case preparation.

• Represent clients in court hearings, case management conferences, and mediation sessions.

General Duties:

• Build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships through clear communication and excellent service.

• Manage own caseload efficiently, meeting deadlines and financial targets.

• Work collaboratively with partners and other associates within the firm.

• Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives for the firm.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a current practising certificate.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a proven track record in at least two of the three key practice areas (Immigration, Property, Litigation). Experience in all three is a significant advantage.

• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.

• A proactive, client-centered approach and the ability to work independently.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience using legal software (e.g., case management systems, Oyez/PCL for conveyancing).

• Accreditation from the Law Society in Immigration or Property law.

• A existing network or client following would be beneficial.
