Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Retail Pharmacist to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, dispense prescribed medications accurately, and provide guidance on the safe use of drugs. The role requires strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications to customers accurately.

• Review and interpret physician’s prescriptions, ensuring legality, accuracy, and appropriateness.

• Provide expert advice and counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, dosage, and storage.

• Maintain proper inventory levels of medicines and health products, and ensure their safe storage.

• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, legal requirements, and quality standards.

• Monitor drug interactions, contraindications, and advise patients accordingly.

• Manage billing, cash handling, and maintain sales records.

• Supervise pharmacy assistants and ensure proper workflow in the store.

• Promote health and wellness by advising on lifestyle, diet, and preventive healthcare.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm).

• Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration / License.

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and drug regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Customer service-oriented with problem-solving ability.

• Proficiency in MS Office and pharmacy management software (preferred).
