Dispense medicines accurately against prescriptions in compliance with legal and medical guidelines.
Provide guidance to patients/customers on dosage, side effects, interactions, and storage of medicines.
Maintain up-to-date records of prescriptions, sales, and inventory as per Drug & Cosmetic Act norms.
Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines, vaccines, and controlled drugs.
Check and manage expiry, returns, and stock replenishment in coordination with store staff.
Assist in audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance (Drug Inspector/FDA).
Promote safe and rational use of medicines and escalate prescription errors if identified.
Train/support store staff on pharma product handling.
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all pharmacy operations.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy (B. Pharm).
License: Valid State Pharmacy Council registration (mandatory).
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a retail/hospital/wholesale pharmacy.
Knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and dosage.
Familiarity with inventory/billing software (advantage).
