Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Lab Technician to support daily laboratory operations, ensure accurate testing, and maintain high-quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle laboratory equipment with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests, sample processing, and analysis following standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Collect, label, and prepare specimens for testing.

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through proper documentation and quality checks.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the laboratory.

• Record and update test reports in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

• Assist in inventory management of lab supplies and reagents.

• Follow all safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and regulatory compliance.

• Report abnormalities or critical values to the supervisor/doctor immediately.

• Ensure proper waste disposal as per bio-medical waste management guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT / MLT).

• Proven experience as a Lab Technician (preferred).

• Good understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment, and diagnostic procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Basic computer skills (LIS knowledge preferred).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment

• Laboratory setup with adherence to safety protocols.

• May require rotational shifts depending on operational needs.
