Key Responsibilities:
1. Lab Operations & Maintenance
Ensure daily readiness of the lab for student sessions and workshops.
Maintain all equipment, kits, and computers in working condition.
Conduct preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting for hardware.
Maintain lab cleanliness, safety, and discipline at all times.
2. Technical & Academic Support
Assist teachers, mentors, and Siemens EDA volunteers during practical sessions.
Guide students in hands-on experiments using Arduino, sensors, robotics, and coding tools (Scratch, Python, etc.).
Support preparation and execution of school-level and inter-school STEAM exhibitions.
Help in assembling project prototypes, IoT circuits, and models for student innovation projects.
3. Inventory & Documentation Management
Maintain updated inventory of electronic components, consumables, and tools.
Create and update digital logs for material usage, procurement, and repair requests.
Maintain records of student attendance, project progress, and lab activities.
Support report preparation for Siemens EDA CSR review and Trust management (monthly/quarterly).
4. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate between the Trust, Siemens EDA CSR mentors, and local school teachers.
Assist in planning lab schedules, student batches, and mentor visits.
Communicate with vendors for purchasing or repairing lab materials.
Provide logistical support during events, workshops, and hackathons.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to electrical and equipment safety standards.
Conduct basic training sessions on lab safety and responsible equipment handling.
Maintain safety logs and ensure first-aid and fire-safety measures are active.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / B.Sc / B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or Instrumentation.
1–3 years of lab or technical support experience in schools, colleges, or makerspaces preferred.
Working knowledge of Arduino, sensors, basic robotics, soldering, and circuit debugging.
Familiar with MS Office / Google Workspace and comfortable with documentation/reporting.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in STEM / ATL Labs / Robotics / IoT Projects.
Passion for teaching and mentoring children in creative projects.
Ability to explain basic science and technology concepts in simple language.
Experience managing school events, project showcases, or CSR programs.
