Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer – Service Head to take complete ownership of our service operations. The candidate must have strong knowledge in IT hardware servicing (laptops, desktops, printers, CCTV, biometrics, and other IT devices) and the ability to lead and guide service team members. The role requires fieldwork, client management, and technical expertise, with the capability to assign responsibilities to team members based on their strengths and ensure smooth service delivery. 

The candidate should ensure clear, step-by-step communication with both clients and management, keeping everyone informed about progress, issues, and resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of service operations and ensure smooth workflow.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of service engineers, assigning tasks based on their strengths.

• Diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of IT hardware devices including laptops, desktops, printers, CCTV, biometrics, and other IT-related equipment.

• Conduct field visits to client locations for installation, servicing, and troubleshooting.

• Maintain strong client relationships by handling service requests, complaints, and AMC support on a regular basis.

• Provide clear updates and reports to both clients and upper management on all service activities.

• Coordinate with management on service updates, challenges, and team performance.

• Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for servicing.

• Train team members on advanced troubleshooting and ensure continuous skill development.

• Handle escalations and provide quick resolutions.

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong expertise in laptop and desktop servicing.

• Knowledge of printers, CCTV, biometrics, and IT peripherals.

• Chip-level servicing knowledge will be an added advantage.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and assign tasks effectively.

• Field Work: Willingness to travel for client servicing and on-site requirements.

• Communication: Must ensure transparent communication with clients and management, clearly updating every step of the service process.

• Other Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, client-handling ability, and ownership mindset, Chip-level servicing knowledge will be a strong advantage.
