Job Summary
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer with 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support. The ideal candidate will be responsible maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1 and L2 technical support to internal users.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords via Active Directory.
- Perform OS installations, upgrades, and patch updates (Windows/Mac).
- Set up and support video conferencing tools and remote access solutions.
- Log and manage issues using IT ticketing systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
- Ensure system security through antivirus software and OS updates.
- Provide basic support for LAN, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in desktop or IT support roles.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, and desktop software tools.
- Strong understanding of basic networking (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP).
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and remote desktop tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT certifications like CompTIA A+, MCP, or similar are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate or enterprise IT support environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
