The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users, maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations within the organization.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
Provide technical support for software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity issues.
Respond to user queries and issues via phone, email, or in-person in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently.
Set up new user accounts and manage access permissions and passwords.
Ensure data security and perform regular system backups and updates.
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation of support requests.
Coordinate with vendors and higher-level support teams when necessary.
Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS / macOS / Linux troubleshooting.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, email configurations, and remote desktop tools.
Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, IP configuration, and network printers.
Knowledge of antivirus and data backup solutions.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.
