Hiring: Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure smooth IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of Windows-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues

• Provide technical support to users via phone, email, or on-site

• Install and update operating systems, antivirus, and application software

• Perform regular system maintenance and backups

• Maintain inventory of IT assets and prepare documentation

• Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements and warranty claims

• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in desktop or IT support

• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, basic networking, and troubleshooting

• Experience with printers, scanners, LAN/WAN, and remote support tools

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field (preferred)
