CCTV Camera Operator
Position Summary:
The CCTV Camera Operator will monitor and review security camera footage, ensuring safety and security across the premises. The ideal candidate will maintain a vigilant watch on live camera feeds, detect potential security threats, and promptly notify security personnel when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate and monitor CCTV surveillance systems, ensuring proper camera functionality.
· Continuously observe live camera feeds for suspicious activity, security breaches, or unusual behavior.
· Record, store, and maintain surveillance footage as per company policy.
· Report any incidents or irregularities to the management in a timely manner.
· Coordinate with on-site security officers to direct responses to incidents or threats.
· Conduct regular checks and tests of CCTV equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
· Review recorded footage as needed, especially in the case of incidents or investigations.
· Maintain logs of all monitored activities and incidents.
· Ensure compliance with privacy laws and company policies when handling surveillance footage.
· Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV cameras and related equipment.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience operating CCTV or security surveillance systems (preferred).
· Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills.
· Knowledge of basic security protocols and procedures.
· Ability to work independently and remain alert during long shifts.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
· Proficiency in using CCTV monitoring software and equipment.
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of various CCTV systems and technologies (e.g., IP cameras, analog systems).
· Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve camera or equipment issues.
