1. Electrical Installation:

• Installing wiring systems in buildings and machines.

• Setting up switches, circuit breakers, sockets, and lighting systems.

• Mounting electrical panels and control systems.

2. Maintenance & Repair:

• Inspecting electrical components like transformers and circuit breakers.

• Repairing faulty wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

• Replacing damaged electrical parts.

3. Troubleshooting:

• Diagnosing problems using testing devices such as multimeters.

• Identifying root causes of issues in electrical systems.

• Resolving power failures or equipment malfunctions.

4. Safety Compliance:

• Following safety codes and standards (e.g., ISI, BIS).

• Using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

• Ensuring safe handling and disposal of electrical materials.

5. Reading Technical Drawings:

• Understanding blueprints, wiring diagrams, and circuit layouts.

• Following schematic diagrams for installations and repairs.

6. Preventive Maintenance:

• Conducting routine checks on machines and control panels.

• Lubricating and tightening electrical components.

• Preventing breakdowns by early detection of faults.

7. Testing Equipment:

• Using tools like megger, clamp meters, and insulation testers.

• Verifying voltage, current, and continuity in circuits.

8. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintaining logs of maintenance and repairs.

• Preparing reports on electrical inspections or faults.

Educational Qualification:✅ Minimum Qualification:

• 10th pass (SSC/Matriculation) from a recognized board

• (with subjects like Science and Mathematics preferred)

Professional Training:✅ ITI Electrician Trade Course:

• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)

• Offered by: Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centres (ITCs) across India

• Approved by: NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) or SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training)
