Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across the hospital premises. The role ensures that patient rooms, wards, operation theaters, and other areas are kept clean and orderly, contributing to a safe and infection-free healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, operation theaters, waiting areas, corridors, and restrooms.
Change bed linens, curtains, and replenish patient room supplies as per hospital protocol.
Collect and dispose of waste (including biomedical waste) safely and as per guidelines.
Perform floor cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces like door handles, switches, railings, etc.
Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies (toilet paper, soap, sanitizers) regularly.
Report any maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, etc.) to the concerned department.
Follow infection control and safety protocols strictly.
Support during emergency cleaning tasks such as spills, discharges, or contagious cases.
Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with staff, patients, and visitors.
