Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented SolidWorks Designer with experience in municipal/industrial machinery design. The role involves creating precise 3D models, 2D drawings, and complete manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components and assemblies for municipal machinery (e.g., portable compactors, garbage tippers, bins, etc.).

• Prepare detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.

• Modify and improve existing designs based on field feedback or client requirements.

• Ensure all designs comply with manufacturing capabilities and safety standards.

• Create BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly drawings, and exploded views.

• Collaborate with the production, fabrication, and procurement teams.

• Work closely with the R&D department on prototyping and design validation.

• Conduct stress/fitment analysis using built-in SolidWorks simulation tools (optional).

• Maintain project documentation and revisions accurately.

• Attend design review meetings and contribute innovative ideas.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 1–5 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software.

• Prior experience in municipal or industrial machinery design is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, and sheet metal design.

• Understanding of GD&T, tolerance, and standard mechanical practices.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Good team collaboration and communication skills.
