Position Summary:

The Senior Medical Sales Manager leads a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the medical industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare product sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and implement regional or national sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.

• Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive activities.

• Establish clear sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.

• Collaborate with marketing, product, and clinical teams to support product launches and campaigns.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of medical sales representatives and account managers.

• Conduct regular training and performance reviews to ensure product and sales excellence.

• Foster a high-performance culture based on accountability, ethics, and results.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, and purchasing decision-makers.

• Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.

• Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development.

Business Operations

• Monitor sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize profitability.

• Provide accurate sales reports and insights to senior management.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales, with at least 3 years in a management role.

• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in the healthcare industry.

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare systems, procurement processes, and clinical environments.

• Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Willingness to travel as required.
