Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and generating new leads within a designated territory through in-person interactions.
Key responsibilities
Customer engagement: Promote and sell the company's products or services directly to customers in the field through presentations and demonstrations.
Sales targets: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Lead generation: Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and leveraging referrals.
Client relations: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close deals by addressing customer objections and demonstrating product value.
Territory management: Plan and organize daily, weekly, and monthly travel schedules to maximize market coverage and sales productivity.
Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records and submit regular performance reports and forecasts to management using CRM software.
Market analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to help inform sales strategies.
Qualifications and skills
Proven experience in a field sales or similar customer-facing role. Experience with specific industries (e.g., B2B, FMCG) is a plus.
A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is often preferred, but a strong track record can be considered in lieu of a degree.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver engaging and persuasive sales pitches.
Negotiation: Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, with proven success in closing deals.
Time management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively plan routes and prioritize tasks.
Resilience: Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient, with the ability to handle rejection and work independently.
Tech-savvy: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and basic computer skills (MS Office).
A valid driver's license and reliable transport are typically required for frequent travel within the assigned territory.
