Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Mumbai, India (with pan-India travel as needed)
Experience: Minimum 2 year in FMCG/D2C sales (experience in supplements preferred)
We are seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead sales and distribution efforts for our range of bodybuilding and nutritional supplements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG or D2C brands, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in sales—both on-field (store visits, distributor relationships) and off-field (strategy, reporting, coordination). A deep understanding of the sports nutrition/supplements market and strong industry networks will be a distinct advantage.
This role requires someone who can build and manage a robust retail channel, strengthen our presence in supplement stores, gyms, and wellness outlets, and drive consistent revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Channel Sales & Retail Expansion:
Identify and onboard supplement stores, gyms, nutrition centers, and health & wellness retailers across regions.
Develop strategic relationships with retail partners, wholesalers, and stockists to increase product placement and visibility.
Regularly visit stores to ensure product availability, merchandising, and brand compliance.
Drive new market penetration and geographical expansion in line with business goals.
D2C Sales Support:
Coordinate with the D2C team to provide on-ground insights and feedback from consumers and retail partners.
Assist in planning and executing promotional campaigns and offers that drive traffic and sales both online and offline.
Distributor & Network Management:
Manage existing distributor relationships and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and coverage.
Work closely with logistics and operations to ensure timely deliveries and inventory management.
Track distributor and retailer performance and take corrective actions where needed.
Sales Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute monthly and quarterly sales plans and targets.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales KPIs and report on trends, gaps, and opportunities.
Gather competitive intelligence and market insights to help guide pricing and positioning strategies.
Product & Brand Education:
Educate retail partners and sales promoters on product USPs, nutrition facts, and brand positioning.
Conduct product demos and training sessions at stores, gyms, and fitness expos.
Act as a brand ambassador during industry events, fitness shows, and promotional campaigns.
CRM & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of client meetings, sales calls, and pipeline status using CRM tools or spreadsheets.
Prepare and submit timely reports on sales metrics, partner feedback, and competitor activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Nutrition, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of field/off-field sales experience in FMCG, health supplements, or D2C consumer brands.
Strong network within the sports nutrition and supplement retail ecosystem is preferred.
Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage channel relationships.
