The Block Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales in a designated geographical block or region. This role requires the individual to build strong customer relationships, develop strategies to increase sales, ensure market penetration, and lead sales activities within their block. The officer will report to the Area Sales Manager or Sales Director and will work closely with the marketing, product, and distribution teams.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Drive sales performance by meeting or exceeding the sales targets for the designated block/region.
Identify and target potential customers to expand market share within the block.
Negotiate with clients, customers, and distributors to close sales deals.
Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Address customer queries and concerns, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Follow up on leads and opportunities to ensure timely conversion and customer retention.
Market Analysis:
Research market trends and customer needs to provide input to product and marketing strategies.
Track the performance of sales activities, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
Provide feedback to senior management on regional sales performance and customer demands.
Sales Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Use CRM tools to track sales progress, customer interactions, and other relevant data.
Maintain accurate records of sales, agreements, and orders.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with the marketing team to create region-specific promotions and campaigns.
Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
Train and guide junior sales team members (if applicable).
Sales Strategy Execution:
Implement sales plans and strategies to penetrate the market and expand the customer base.
Organize sales events, product demos, and promotional activities within the region.
Adapt sales approaches based on customer feedback and market conditions.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and relevant legal regulations.
Maintain an understanding of local regulations and ensure compliance in sales practices.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in a regional or territory-based role.
