Position Overview
A cooperative sales position involves selling products or services while working collaboratively with team members, customers, and other departments. Duties include meeting with customers, developing meaningful relationships, developing promotional ideas, attaining sales goals, researching co-op & presenting solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
Sales Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed established revenue quotas and sales targets
Collaborative Planning: Partner with internal operations teams to construct communication flows, programs, co-op, and team coordination
Market Research: Conduct research on cooperative opportunities and present findings to stakeholders
Promotional Development: Create and implement promotional ideas and marketing strategies
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate proposals and contracts with clients
Team Coordination: Work cooperatively with other sales team members and departments
Required Skills and Qualifications
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as active listening skills
Collaboration: Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude
Sales Experience: Typically 3-5+ years of sales experience, preferably with proven track record of exceeding revenue quotas
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and sales applications

Organization: Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred)
Prior customer service experience
Experience in relevant industry sectors
Knowledge of current market trends and regulations
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in fast-paced environments
Computer literacy for data tracking and reporting
Travel may be required for client meetings
