We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion into the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar market. This role will initially operate remotely and later transition to an on-ground presence as we establish our physical operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in freight forwarding (Air/Sea/Road), a deep understanding of the local logistics landscape, and the ability to build and grow a client base from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and acquire new customers in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar region for freight forwarding services.
• Promote company services including air freight, sea freight (FCL/LCL), customs clearance, and end-to-end logistics.
• Develop strategic relationships with local clients, shipping lines, transporters, and agents. • Conduct remote meetings, presentations, and negotiations with potential clients.
• Prepare and share proposals, freight quotes, and service plans based on client requirements. • Regularly follow up with leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Collect market intelligence and contribute to the setup plan of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar office.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handling of shipments and service delivery.
• Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 3-15 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics sales.
• Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight operations and supply chain solutions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Existing client base in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar region will be an added advantage. • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Self-motivated and proactive in achieving sales goals.
