Job Description –Business Development
Department: Sales & Business Development
Experience: 4–9 years (preferably in Freight Forwarding / Logistics)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Business Development be responsible for generating new
business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and supporting pricing activities. The
candidate should have basic knowledge of ocean freight pricing and a keen interest in
driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for freight freight.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term business growth.
Coordinate with the pricing team to prepare quotations and proposals.
Maintain a strong understanding of freight products, services, and industry trends.
Negotiate with clients while ensuring profitability and service excellence.
Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service
delivery.
Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
Requirements:
Graduate
4–9 years of experience in sales/business development in logistics or freight
forwarding (ocean/Air freight preferred).
Basic understanding of ocean freight pricing and rate structures.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build strong client relationships and convert leads into business.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
