We are looking for a detail-oriented Merchandiser to act as a key link between buyers, suppliers, and the production team. The role involves managing product development, costing, sourcing, order follow-ups, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products as per buyer requirements.
Communicate with buyers to understand product specifications, pricing, and timelines.
Develop and coordinate samples for buyer approvals (design, fit, quality).
Source fabrics, trims, and raw materials from vendors/suppliers.
Prepare cost sheets and negotiate pricing to ensure profitability.
Plan, monitor, and follow up on production schedules to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with production, quality control, and logistics teams.
Ensure product quality standards are met at all stages of production.
Handle buyer correspondence, approvals, and order-related documentation.
Monitor market trends, fabrics, and designs for new product development.
Maintain reports on order status, costing, and vendor performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Fashion, Business, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in merchandising (textiles, garments, or home furnishings).
Strong knowledge of fabrics, printing, dyeing, and garment/home furnishing production.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
