Miram Foundation is a non-governmental organization working to promote legal and intellectual property awareness across educational institutions, start-ups, and local communities. Our mission is to empower individuals and organizations with the knowledge to protect their innovations and creativity under the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) framework.
Role Summary
The Programme Officer will be responsible for designing, managing, and implementing campaigns and outreach programs that promote understanding of Intellectual Property Rights across institutions and communities. This role involves extensive coordination, communication, and on-ground engagement to ensure effective delivery of awareness initiatives, along with developing partnerships to strengthen the organization’s impact that are delivered effectively and achieve expected outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and execute IPR awareness campaigns, seminars, and workshops in educational institutions and industry sectors.
• Collaborate with legal experts, academic leaders, and industries for outreach and training programs.
• Develop and manage campaign content, communication materials, and digital awareness initiatives related to IPR.
• Conduct field visits to oversee program execution and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Prepare event reports, attendance records, and post-campaign assessments to evaluate program outcomes.
• Lead and guide volunteers and interns participating in IPR awareness drives.
• Identify potential partners for future collaborations and institutional tie-ups.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Management, Public Policy, or Social Work (preference to candidates with IPR knowledge).
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills in English and Hindi.
• Experience in campaign management, event coordination, or legal literacy programs preferred.
• Ability to travel for conducting field-based activities and awareness events.
• Proficiency in MS Office and online collaboration tools.
• Excellent organisational, planning and coordination skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and good data handling skills.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Commitment to our mission, and willingness to adapt in a dynamic NGO environment.
Nice to Have
• Experience with donor-funded projects (such as international funders or CSR programmes).
• Knowledge of monitoring & evaluation frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with local governance systems, community mobilisation techniques or social enterprise models.
