Reports To: Purchase Manager / Head of Procurement
The Electrical Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring electrical materials, equipment, and components in line with project requirements and company standards. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality, timely delivery, and compliance with technical specifications.
Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for electrical products and components.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure long-term reliability.
Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Procurement Operations
Prepare and process purchase orders for electrical materials.
Ensure materials comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Cost & Quality Control
Conduct price analysis and market research to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Verify the quality of received materials in coordination with the quality/engineering team.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and delivery timelines.
Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
Coordination
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to understand material requirements.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience: 4–5 years in procurement or purchasing of electrical items, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or EPC industries.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of electrical components, materials, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Purchase software.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
