
The Telesales Executive is responsible for contacting potential and existing customers over the phone to promote and sell products or services, maintain positive customer relationships, and achieve sales targets. This is a target-driven role that requires excellent communication and persuasion skills.
Outbound Calling: Conduct a high volume of outbound calls (cold calling) to prospective customers using provided leads/databases to generate sales.
Inbound Handling (if applicable): Handle inbound calls from interested customers or respond to online/marketing inquiries to convert them into sales.
Product Pitch: Present, promote, and sell products/services to potential customers, explaining features and benefits clearly and convincingly.
Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate terms, handle customer objections professionally, and successfully close sales to meet individual and team quotas.
Upselling/Cross-selling: Identify opportunities to upsell additional products or cross-sell related services to existing customers.
Follow-up: Follow up on initial sales leads and manage the sales pipeline to ensure timely progression of potential deals.
CRM Maintenance: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions, calls, sales, and follow-up activities in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service, addressing basic queries, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate department.
Target Achievement: Strive to meet and exceed predefined daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets (Key Performance Indicators or KPIs).
Reporting: Prepare and submit sales reports, progress tracking sheets, and market feedback to the Sales Manager regularly.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the marketing and sales teams to share insights on market trends and customer needs.
High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
Proven experience (0-2 years, depending on role seniority) in a telemarketing, telesales, or similar sales role.
Strong Verbal Communication: Exceptional clarity, tone, and active listening skills in the required language(s).
Sales & Persuasion: A demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and close deals over the phone.
Persistence & Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive, motivated attitude.
Target-Driven: A highly motivated and results-oriented mindset focused on achieving sales targets.
Tech Savvy: Basic proficiency with computers, MS Office, and experience using a CRM system for data entry and tracking.
Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage a high volume of calls and follow-ups.
