Role Overview
This role combines logistics coordination and technical field support. The candidate will handle the movement and delivery of IT equipment to client sites, assist in basic installations and troubleshooting, and ensure smooth coordination between the warehouse, technical team, and clients.
It is ideal for an individual with basic IT knowledge and good coordination skills who is eager to grow in the IT support field.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Support
Coordinate pickup, dispatch, and delivery of IT equipment, spares, and materials to client locations within Kolkata & suburbs.
Maintain records of incoming/outgoing materials and update asset logs.
Ensure safe handling and transport of devices (computers, networking devices, printers, UPS, etc.).
Assist in managing inventory of IT assets, consumables, and spare parts.
Liaise with vendors, courier partners, and internal teams for timely delivery.
Customer / Field Support (IT Infrastructure)
Visit client sites to assist in installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and peripherals under the guidance of senior engineers.
Support preventive maintenance and routine system checks.
Coordinate with clients for scheduling service visits or delivery of IT assets.
Record daily field activities, support calls, and logistics reports.
Provide basic technical assistance such as cable connections, OS installation support, or software setup (after training).
Ensure prompt and polite customer interactions at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
ITI / Diploma / 12 Pass
Experience:
0–1 years in logistics, IT field support, or technical operations. Freshers with a learning attitude are welcome.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of computers, printers, and networking devices.
Familiarity with Windows OS installation & troubleshooting (preferred).
Ability to manage and maintain inventory logs.
Soft Skills:
Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Bengali.
Responsible, punctual, and customer-oriented approach.
Basic documentation and reporting ability.
Willingness to travel within Kolkata and surrounding areas.
Other Requirements:
Smartphone required for communication and reporting.
Working Conditions
Field-based role with regular travel within Kolkata & suburbs.
Standard working hours (may vary based on client schedule).
Reporting to the Field Support / Logistics Supervisor.
