The IVF/Fertility Centre Counselor provides emotional, psychological, and informational support to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments. The counselor plays a critical role in guiding patients through the complexities of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), helping them cope with stress, make informed decisions, and maintain emotional well-being.
Provide individual and couple counseling to patients undergoing fertility evaluation and treatment.
Educate patients about IVF/ICSI, IUI, egg/sperm donation, surrogacy, and other ART procedures.
Conduct psychological assessments and readiness evaluations where required (e.g., for gamete donation or surrogacy cases).
Support patients with decision-making regarding treatment options.
Help manage stress, anxiety, grief, or relationship strain associated with infertility and treatment outcomes.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counseling practice.
Coordinate with medical and nursing teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Conduct support groups, workshops, and educational sessions for patients.
Maintain accurate and timely counseling records and reports.
Assist in developing patient education materials and counseling protocols.
