We are seeking an experienced South Indian Chef to prepare authentic South Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian specialties. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of traditional cooking techniques from regions such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.
Prepare authentic South Indian dishes including:
Breakfast items (e.g., Idli, Dosa, Vada, Pongal, Upma)
Main courses (e.g., Sambar, Rasam, Chettinad Curry, Kerala Sadya)
Rice dishes (e.g., Lemon Rice, Tamarind Rice, Biryani)
Accompaniments (e.g., Coconut Chutney, Gunpowder, Pickles)
Design and maintain a South Indian–focused menu in consultation with the management.
Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all dishes.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene as per FSSAI standards.
Proven experience (2+ years) as a South Indian Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or catering setup.
Expertise in regional South Indian cuisines: Tamil, Telugu, Kerala, or Karnataka styles.
Strong understanding of traditional spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of vegetarian and non-vegetarian South Indian cooking.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
