We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in daily kitchen operations including food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, dishwashing, and ensuring high standards of kitchen hygiene. This role requires an early start and physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities:
Vegetable Cutting & Food Prep:
Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits as per kitchen requirements.
Assist in basic food preparation and mise en place under the direction of chefs.
Dishwashing & Cleaning:
Wash dishes, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing tools.
Maintain cleanliness of all workstations, counters, and sinks.
Kitchen Hygiene:
Follow strict hygiene and sanitation procedures.
Regularly clean floors, garbage bins, and work surfaces.
Dispose of kitchen waste properly and timely.
Stock Handling & Storage:
Receive and store deliveries in the proper areas.
Ensure all ingredients are properly labeled and organized.
Support Team Operations:
Provide support to chefs and other kitchen staff as needed.
Ensure timely preparation of items required during service hours.
Requirements:
Prior kitchen experience preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to start work early (4:00 AM).
Physical stamina for long hours standing and lifting.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Good communication and time management skills.
